Drafting and crafting your team is BY FAR the greatest part of fantasy football, but don’t forget, championships are won on the waiver wire. Don’t rest on your lorels. The fantasy football season is a marathon, not a sprint (insert “I sprint marathons” joke here).
There are PLENTY of gems waiting to be scooped up off the waiver wire, so pay close attention to everyone’s usage in Week 1. It also doesn’t hurt to be proactive and shoot your shot on low-rostered guys with potential value. If you can afford to add one player at the end of your bench, make it Kenneth Gainwell. The 22-year-old rookie out of Memphis could be the de facto pass-catching back in Philly. OK, my speech is over.
Let’s look at a few notable injured fantasy players we need to monitor heading into Week 1: Chris Godwin, Austin Ekeler, A.J. Brown, Saquon Barkley, Tyler Lockett, Odell Beckham Jr., Darrell Henderson Jr., Brandon Aiyuk, Josh Jacobs, Kenny Golladay, Noah Fant, Mecole Hardman, Curtis Samuel, Nelson Agholor, and Emmanuel Sanders.
