Sheesh! Where are all the back-to back games?! Well, with the NBA taking a day OFF for Thanksgiving, there weren’t many back-to-back games to go around. Despite the NBA GIFTING us with 19/30 teams playing 4 games this week; us STREAMERS need to plan ahead and be strategic when it comes to streaming players with back-to-back games on Tuesday-Wednesday & Friday-Saturday.

Before we dive into the streaming chart, let’s take a look at notable headlines from Week 5:

  • DOWN GOES VOOCH: Nikola Vucevic expected to miss 4 weeks
  • Kemba Walker was taken off on a stretcher: early updates are POSITIVE
  • Lonzo Ball FINALLY returned from his groin injury
  • Kyle Lowry is “about a week away from being game ready”
  • Serge Ibaka is EXPECTED to return next week
  • Gordon Hayward has progressed to running and shooting

The following list of players are ALL owned in UNDER 50% of Yahoo, ESPN, and Fantrax leagues.

Please Note: We have added a column labeled “Tu/Sa”, which highlights players who play on slow game days.

Waiver Wire Pickups

Let’s get to the players you should consider picking up if they are available in your league: Anyone who makes 9 3’s in a single game deserves a look, and that man is Duncan Robinson. Give him a look if you need/want 3’s. Over the past 6 games, De’Andre Hunter has averaged 34 minutes, 13 PTS, 4 REB, 1.3 AST, and 1.7 STL. Ride him while he’s hot and getting big minutes! If you are in desperate need for a big OR a Steven Adams owner, I would consider adding Nerlens Noel, who is outplaying Adams. Noel has the potential to take over the starting center job IF OKC can find a suitor for Adams. It’s hard to ignore the minutes that Daniel Theis is receiving in Boston. He is turning into a reliable blocks & rebound specialist and that is valuable in ALL leagues. With Nikola Vucevic missing the next 4 weeks, it’ll be Khem Birch and Mo Bamba picking up the slack in his absence. The Magic have been load managing Mo Bamba, so I would turn to Birch if you needed consistent production despite Bamba having the higher ceiling. The Blazers have not been shy about using Carmelo Anthony, especially with Lillard OUT the last two games. Anthony is getting is PUMPING UP THE VOLUME in his first two games with the Blazers averaging 14.5 FGA and turning that into a 14 PTS, 2.5 3PM, 5.5 REB, 2 AST, and 0.5 BLK.Give him a look if you need cheap points, 3’s, and rebounds BUT keep in mind he will WRECK your FG%. Though his minutes might be inconsistent, I would pickup Jaxson Hayes if you are desperate for blocks. Until Zion returns, Hayes will be a steady source of blocks, rebounds, and FG%. Lastly, Kemba Walker sustained a gruesome neck injury in Denver last Friday, but early updates have been positive. Until we hear a definitive update on the length (or lack thereof) of Kemba’s absence, Brad Wanamaker should be picked up in shallow leagues and Carsen Edwards in deep leagues. Our prayers go out to Kemba Walker.

If all of the above players are taken in your league, I’d consider adding the following players and riding the wave while they’re producing:

  1. Davis Bertans
  2. Donte DiVincenzo
  3. Skal Labissière
  4. Bryn Forbes
  5. Ky Bowman
  6. Mikal Bridges
  7. Terence Davis
  8. Kris Dunn
  9. Cameron Johnson
  10. Damian Jones
