Waiver Wire Pickups

Let’s get to the players you should consider picking up if they are available in your league: Carmelo Anthony is FINALLY back in the NBA, but should you rush to add him to your team? I’d take a shot on him in DEEP leagues, but take a wait-and-see approach in shallow leagues. Coby White is WHITE HOT right now, and he deserves to be picked up in ALL leagues for his current production and ROS upside. Ever sinceDe’Aaron Fox went down, Nemanja Bjelica has stepped up, and he deserves to be rostered and started until Marvin Bagley III returns. Over the past 3 games, Kenrich Williams has averaged 10 PTS, 2.3 3PM, 8.7 REB, 2.7 REB, and 1.7 STL. As long as Brandon Ingram and/or Josh Hart is OUT, Williams will be worth streaming. Seriously, Dillon Brooks deserves much more respect. He made it on this list LAST WEEK and until he’s added in more leagues, I’ll keep putting him here. On the season, Brooks is averaging 27+ minutes, 14.2 PTS, 3 REB, 1.8 3PM, 1.6 AST, 1.1 STL, and 0.5 BLK. I don’t know about you, but I could definitely use those consistent stats on my fantasy team. Malik Monk has been showing signs of life and deserves to be streamed with the possibility of holding onto him if he keeps up this scoring pace. Isaiah Thomas just keeps SLINGING those pizzas! Not only is he starting, but he recently played 33 MINUTES in a revenge game against Boston, which is easily a season-high for him. While Thomas is healthy and starting, he should be added and started in ALL leagues. If someone in your league was impatient and dropped Kendrick Nunn, pick him up IMMEDIATELY. He may have stretches of being hot and cold throughout the season, but he should be able to put up solid stats as long as he’s starting.

If all of the above players are taken in your league, I’d consider adding the following players and riding the wave while they’re producing:

  1. Frank Ntilikina
  2. Alec Burks
  3. Willie Cauley-Stein
  4. Glenn Robinson III
  5. Chris Boucher
  6. Jake Layman
  7. Kris Dunn
  8. Darius Garland
  9. Norman Powell
  10. Robert Williams AKA “Time Lord”
