Whether you’re off to a hot start, cold start, or somewhere in-between; there’s always room for streams! Just because you’re on top now doesn’t mean you rest on your laurels. Keep pounding and take it week by week!
In this article, I’m going to highlight 2 streamers per position in deep and shallow leagues along with BONUS streamers to consider if the highlighted players are already taken in your league. The first player will be owned in 60% or less of Yahoo leagues & the second player will be owned in 20% or less.
QB
Shallow League Streamer (Owned in less than 60% of Yahoo Leagues)
Jacoby Brissett (36% owned) at Chiefs
Don’t look now, but Brissett is the #9 ranked fantasy QB through the first 4 weeks. What?! This week he’s going on the road to face a decent Chiefs defense, but not a scary defense by any means. The Colts will be forced to keep pace with Mahomes and the high-flying Chiefs, so I’m looking for Brissett to continue his Top-10 scoring ways this week.
Other QBs to consider streaming: Jimmy Garoppolo (56%) vs Cle, Andy Dalton (35%) vs Ari
Deep League Streamer (Owned in less than 20% of Yahoo Leagues)
Gardiner Minshew II (15% owned) at Panthers
Last week, Minshew II went up against a solid Broncos defense in Denver, and came away with the victory. A lot of that had to do with the smart play of Minshew II. He never seems rattled and always finds the open receiver. I trust him to give me steady numbers this week against a solid Panthers defense.
Other QBs to consider streaming: Chase Daniel (0%) at Oak, Sam Darnold (if cleared) at Phi (15%)
RB
Shallow League Streamer (Owned in less than 60% of Yahoo Leagues)
Darrel Williams (52% owned) vs Chiefs
Yes, I had him here last week. And YES, he balled out and got a couple of scores! Until his ownership goes over 60%, he’s going to be on this list (I expect this to be the last week he’s owned in under 60%). He’s receiving half the snaps in this high-flying Chiefs offense, and he gets the goal-line carries. What else do you need? Start him.
*Damien Williams returned to practice on Wednesday. If Damien Williams returns from his injury on Sunday, Darrel Williams will have little to no value. You need to have a contingency plan just in case.
Other RBs to consider streaming: Ronald Jones II (45%) at NO, Frank Gore (48%) at Ten
Deep League Streamer (Owned in less than 20% of Yahoo Leagues)
Nyheim Hines (19% owned) vs Colts
Welp. This one was tough. Running backs thin out quickly, and there isn’t a lot to pick from that is under 20% owned. Saying that, I think Hines will have a role this week going to Kansas City. He is a no-brainer PPR play IF Marlon Mack has to miss time with the injury he sustained last Sunday. Either way, I think he has a role and could be serviceable as a deep league flex play.
Other RBs to consider streaming: Darren Sproles (4%) vs NYJ, Gus Edwards (7%) at Pit
WR
Shallow League Streamer (Owned in less than 60% of Yahoo Leagues)
Courtland Sutton (54% owned) at Chargers
Sutton has all the tools to be a #1 WR. He’s 6’4 and 215 lb. MONSTER. He’s currently ranked #17 out of all the WRs going into Week 5, and I expect top 25 numbers this week. Yes, the Chargers are a solid defense and at home, but the Broncos will be forced to throw in this game. I expect Flacco to lock onto Sutton to get him some big plays.
Other WRs to consider streaming: Deebo Samuel (27%) vs Cle, Mohamed Sanu (28%) at Hou
Deep League Streamer (Owned in less than 20% of Yahoo Leagues)
Cole Beasley (12% owned) at Titans
The Bills paid Cole Beasley for a reason. He is guaranteed to see 5+ targets, so I’m targeting him as a deep league PPR flex play this week. The Titans have a solid defense, so I expect Allen (or Barkley, if Allen sits with a concussion) to give a few looks Beasley’s way.
Other WRs to consider streaming: A.J. Brown (27%) vs Buf, Keke Coutee (18%) vs Atl
TE
Shallow League Streamer (Owned in less than 60% of Yahoo Leagues)
Jimmy Graham (37% owned) at Cowboys
With Devante Adams expected to sit out this week, I expect Graham to get 5+ targets with Red Zone looks. If the Cowboys can get out to an early lead, Graham has the potential to be a Top 10 play.
Other TEs to consider streaming: Jason Witten (54%) vs GB, Jack Doyle (20%) at KC
Deep League Streamer (Owned in less than 20% of Yahoo Leagues)
Tyler Eifert (14% owned) vs Cardinals
I had him here last week as a “Hail Mary” play and he received 5 targets for only 27 yards BUT he dropped a TD. That’s what you get with Eifert – 20-40 yards with a possible TD.
Other TEs to consider streaming: Noah Fant (11%) at LAC, Ben Watson (3%) at WAS
DEF
Shallow & Deep League Streamer (Owned in less than 60% of Yahoo Leagues)
Bills (53% owned) at Titans
The Bills defense is for real. Through the first three weeks, there was skepticism about how good the Bills defense was playing inferior opponents, but they showed what they can do against the high-flying Patriots offense. The Bills have Marcus Mariota on tap, and I can see them forcing a few turnovers and getting plenty of sacks.
Other DEF to consider streaming: Saints (11%) vs TB, Panthers (16%) vs Jax
K
Shallow & Deep League Streamer (Owned in less than 60% of Yahoo Leagues)
Robbie Gould (33% owned) vs Browns
Gould was dropped by a ton of teams due to the bye week, but he needs to be picked back up and started with confidence. The Browns have a decent defense and could force stalls for the 49ers in the Red Zone forcing Gould to kick a couple of Field Goals.
Other K to consider streaming: Jason Myers (57%) vs LAR, Josh Lambo (9%) at Car
