Before we dive into the rankings, check your waiver wire to see if Kenneth Gainwell is available. Why?
After Miles Sanders left the game late in the first quarter with an ankle injury last week, Gainwell proceeded to receive eight targets, which he turned into four catches for 41 yards and a score. The 22-year-old did, however, split snaps and touches with Boston Scott, so he would be facing a timeshare if Sanders were to miss Week 8. The rookie out of Memphis has ample opportunity to show out and prove that he should be the RB1 in Philadelphia. If Sanders sits, Gainwell has an RB2 ceiling against a Lions defense who’s giving up the fourth-most fantasy points to running backs on the season.
OK, now that my Gainwell spiel is over, let’s look at a few notable injured fantasy players we need to monitor heading into Week 7: Dak Prescott, Nick Chubb, Saquon Barkley, Miles Sanders, DeAndre Hopkins, Antonio Brown, Kadarius Toney, T.Y. Hilton, DeVante Parker, and Kenny Golladay, and Jonnu Smith.
