We made it to Week 6!
How’s your fantasy team looking? Whether you’re 5-0, 0-5, or somewhere in between; Don’t coast. Stay active on your waiver wire and trade market. Most importantly, don’t sleep on these rankings. Let’s get you a win this week.
Before we dive into the rankings, check your waiver wire to see if Kadarius Toney and Rashod Bateman are available. Why?
Toney has accumulated 22 targets over his last two games since entering the starting lineup. Last week, the rookie broke out and hauled 10 of 13 targets for 189 yards against Dallas. He did, however, suffer an ankle injury, but head coach Joe Judge ruled out it being a significant injury. Toney was a full participant in practice last Wednesday, which bodes well for his Week 6 availability. With Kenny Golladay (knee) expected to miss Week 6, the 22-year-old could be in store for another monster workload against the Los Angeles Rams.
Next, Bateman is on track to make his career debut this week against the Los Angeles Chargers. He could step right into the starting lineup with Sammy Watkins dealing with a hamstring injury. Lamar Jackson is averaging 33.4 pass attempts per game this season, so there are plenty of targets to go around once Bateman returns. If you have space at the end of your bench (especially in PPR formats), I’d stash the 21-year-old and see if he can carve out a significant role early in this suddenly pass-happy Baltimore offense.
OK, now that my Toney and Bateman spiel is over, let’s look at a few notable injured fantasy players we need to monitor heading into Week 6: Christian McCaffrey, Najee Harris, Chris Carson, Dalvin Cook, Damien Harris, Tyreek Hill, Kadarius Toney, DeVante Parker, Sterling Shepard, Joe Burrow, Daniel Jones, and Tua Tagovailoa.
