Fantasy Football: Week 5 Rankings

We made it to Week 5!
How’s your fantasy team looking? Whether you’re 4-0, 0-4, or somewhere in between; Don’t coast. Stay active on your waiver wire and trade market. Most importantly, don’t sleep on these rankings. Let’s get you a win this week.
Before we dive into the rankings, check your waiver wire to see if Damien Williams and Dawson Knox are available. Why?
With David Montgomery (knee) out 4-5 games, Williams (available in 30% of Sleeper and Yahoo leagues) is the de facto RB1 in Chicago. Williams is a young 29-years-old with less than 500 total touches in his career, so he has plenty of gas left in the tank. The Oklahoma product has a grueling schedule ahead facing the Raiders, Packers, and Buccaneers over the next three weeks, respectively, but if you are desperate for a running back or need a reliable flex option, add Williams as a volume play.
Next, Knox (available in over 30% of Sleeper and Yahoo leagues) recorded five catches on eight targets for 37 yards and two touchdowns last week versus Houston. He finished second on the team in targets. The 24-year-old has a central role in the red zone and has found the end zone in three straight games. While his scoring pace will inevitably slow down, Knox has logged at least four catches in 3/4 games this season. Add him if you need consistent production at the tight end position. Who doesn’t?
OK, now that my Williams and Knox spiel is over, let’s take a look at a few notable injured fantasy players we need to monitor heading into Week 5: Dalvin Cook, Teddy Bridgewater, Ben Roethlisberger, Ezekiel Elliott, Amari Cooper, Tee Higgins, A.J. Brown, George Kittle, Antonio Gibson, Josh Jacobs, Kenny Golladay, Julio Jones, Chris Carson, Chase Claypool, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and Sterling Shepard.
