NEW LIFE FANTASY

Fantasy football: Week 12 waiver wire

Fantasy Football Week 11 is almost to a complete. So if your already looking at week 12, then here are some of the best waivers to target.

QB

Derek Carr (LV)

Rostered: 36% (yahoo), 38% (espn)

It goes without saying, go for the QB playing against Atlanta. Carr posted up an impressive 275 yards, with 3 TDs, and a single pick last week against the Chiefs. Week 12 holds one of the easiest matchups for QBs, especially at Atlanta. Carr also faces the Jets in week 13 giving him another favorable matchup in back to back weeks.

Kirk Cousins (Min)

Rostered: 42% (yahoo), 19% (espn)

Cousins has been on a rather decent streak as a fantasy QB as of late, including a tough match up against a stingy Bears defense. Week 12 gives the Minnesota QB his easiest opponent yet against Carolina at home. Look for Cousins to maintain his impressive streak, and guide you to a victory in week 12 if you’re in need of a QB.

Tua Tagovailoa (Mia)

Rostered: 41% (yahoo), 37% (espn)

Don’t get discouraged by Tua’s recent outing against Denver’s’ underrated Defense. Yes he struggled in a game where he was constantly under pressure. And yes, he got subbed out; however, coach Flores has already stated that Tua will remain the starter against the Jets and their laughable defense. I predict the Alabama product has the bounce back game; in what could end up being the best of his season.

RB

Carlos Hyde (Sea)

Rosterd: 46% (yahoo), 33% (espn)

Hyde has produced 10+ fantasy points in the last 2 games he’s played. Even if Chris Carson is healthy and plays, Hyde has been very productive with what he’s been given. We’ve also seen Hyde score in 3 of his 5 games, making him a TD dependent gamble against the Eagles.

Frank Gore (NYJ)

Rostered: 10% (yahoo), 9% (espn)

The veteran RB has already been receiving more touches than his teammate Perine. But now that the latter has suffered an ankle injury, Gore is looking like he’s going to get all the work he could ask for in a week 12 matchup against Miami. With an easy opponent next week and an even easier week 13, Gore should definitely be on your watch list.

James White (NE)

Rostered: 40% (yahoo), 36% (espn)

White just racked up 6 catches and 60 yards receiving on an impressive 9 targets. With Burkhead out, White will begin to see more and more pass down opportunities, vaulting him back into fantasy relevance. This is a perfect pick up if you’re in desperate need of a flex.

WR

Nelson Agholor (LV)

Rostered: 19% (yahoo) 10% (espn)

Agholor has scored at least 10 fantasy points (standard) in 5 of his last 6 games. Atlanta has been one of the friendliest opponents receivers could ask for; and in a game that should produce plenty of passing plays – Agholor should be an automatic pick up and is probably worth starting in almost every scenario.

Michael Pittman Jr. (Ind)

Rostered: 44% (yahoo) 26% (espn)

Behold Rivers’ new favorite target, Pittman. This guy has killed it in 2 straight games and has a very easy schedule from here on out. Next week the Colts play the Titans again, where Pittman went for a total of 101 yards on 7 catches, with a 21 yard run to cap off the performance. I look forward to seeing Pittman have a repeat against this easy matchup

Jalen Reagor (Phi)

Rostered: 28% (yahoo), 22% (espn)

Reagor straight wins by default because he is the top available target against the Seahawks. Granted he is very talented, has momentum rolling forward, and will be in a pass happy game. It ultimately doesn’t matter, dude’s playing against Seattle. Pick him up and start with confidence.

TE

Robert Tonyan (GB)

Rostered: 46% (yahoo), 33% (espn)

Green Bay will face an overall stingy Chicago defense, however, the Bears have given up the 8th most fantasy points to opposing TEs. Tonyan, next to Adams, will likely be Rodgers’ top target. For those in need of a TE, look no further.

Dalton Schultz (Dal)

Rostered: 21% (yahoo), 25% (espn)

Schultz has continued to be one of the more consistent TEs in recent weeks with over 125 yards and 1 TD in 3 games. I expect Schultz to remain as the safest play on the TE waivers, so if you need a safe play at the position.

Other Notable Pickups

  • Alex Smith (QB – Wsh)
  • Benny Snell Jr. (RB – Pit)
  • Tony Pollard (RB – Dal)
  • Emmanuel Sanders (WR – NO)
  • Jordan Reed (TE – SF)
