NEW LIFE FANTASY

Fantasy Football Week 11 Waivers

Week 11 looks to be an exciting week. But with a few key byes, and injuries it might have some of you fantasy managers scratching your heads. So here’s my list of the top waivers to grab if you can to help you dominate the competition.

QB

Alex Smith (Wsh)

Rostered: 5% (Yahoo), 4% (Espn)

Even though Smith failed to score a touchdown last Sunday, he still racked up an eye popping 390 passing yards against Detroit, giving him a total of 715 yards in the past 2 games. With all that rust officially shaken off and a matchup at home against his easiest opponent yet, Smith could be just what you need in week 11 if you’re in need of a QB streamer.

Teddy Bridgewater (Car)

Rostered: 46% (Yahoo), 29% (Espn)

It’s actually surprising Bridgewater isn’t rostered at a high percentage as he has put up viable starter numbers in 6 of his 10 games (20+ fantasy points). Carolina hosts Detroit next week which just gave up 390 passing yards to Alex Smith. However Bridgewater suffered a sprained MCL in week 10 which may be a cause for concern, so be sure to keep an eye on the situation as it unfolds. With that being said, an MCL sprain isn’t the end of the world, and I’d expect him to start in week 11.

Jameis Winston (NO)

Rostered: 1% (Yahoo), 1% (Espn)

Drew Brees is another key injury that demands very close attention. If Brees is out for week 11, Winston will be an interesting pick up, and a probable must start against Atlanta. And let’s be honest, any QB facing Atlanta has a good chance to post decent fantasy numbers.

RB

Nyheim Hines (Ind)

Rostered: 41% (Yahoo), 41% (Espn)

Hines is straight up out performing Taylor and Wilkins, no doubt about it. With that he’s also out carrying his counterparts while being the clear pass catching favorite out of the backfield. With one of the easiest opponents up next at home against Green Bay and arguably the absolute easiest schedule for the rest of the season, Hines is a must pick up, and makes for a great start in week 11.

Salvon Ahmed (Mia)

Rostered: 6% (Yahoo), 7% (Espn)

21 carries, for 85 yards and a touchdown for the undrafted rookie last week spells bell cow. Miami has finally found the answer they needed in the run game as this kid has averaged 4.4 yards per carry. There’s no reason to believe Ahmed won’t continue to carry the load for Miami against the Broncos Defense that has given up similar numbers to RBs compared to last week’s opponent (LAC). Pick up and start with confidence.

Kalen Ballage (LAC)

Rostered: 19% (Yahoo), 30% (Espn)

For the second straight week Ballage was seen as the primary ball carrier for the Chargers – which will continue to be the case as long as Ekeler is out with hamstring issues. The Charger’s backfield may be crowded, however you got to go for the hot hand here. The 2020 Jets are as bad as they come in all areas, which should leave LA with plenty of rushing attempts next week.

WR

Sammy Watkins (KC)

Rostered: 38% (Yahoo) 28% (Espn)

After being out for 4 straight games and a bye this week, Watkins finally makes his return as one of Mahomes’ best targets. Need I say more? KC plays Los Vegas in week 11 which has the 25th ranked pass defense, but a decent rush defense – which will lead to plenty of passing opportunities, yards, and probably TD’s. Even with all the offensive weapons the Chiefs have with the upcoming high scoring, air raiding game – Watkins will be a safe play in week 11.

Nelson Agholor (LV)

Rostered: 26% (Yahoo) 14% (Espn)

Like i said for Sammy Watkins, the KC – Los Vegas game is going to be a shoot out like it was in week 5. Agholor, believe it or not, leads his team in routes despite being target deprived. However Agholor has made his targets worth something and should end up with a decent fantasy score in week 11.

Jakobi Meyers (NE)

Rostered:48% (Yahoo), 23% (Espn)

How is this guy not rostered in more leagues? Featured for the second straight week in my article, Meyers is a must pick up. An anomalous passing TD on a trick play may have been what made Meyers’ week, however the wide out is still Cam’s favorite target totaling 5 catches and 59 yards. New England has a pass friendly match up against Houston which adds to the intrigue. Get this guy while you can because he’s not going be on the waivers for long.

TE

Logan Thomas (Wsh)

Rostered: 35% (Yahoo), 20% (Espn)

Thomas is looking to be Alex Smith’s favorite target in week 11 facing a Cincinnati defense who has been very generous to opposing TEs in recent weeks. Coming off a 66 yard game against Detroit, Thomas should have an even better outing this week.

Dalton Schultz (Dal)

Rostered: 16% (Yahoo), 17% (Espn)

Schultz has been very impressive for a TE in the past 2 games totaling 10 catches for 101 yards. Regardless of who’s under center, with a friendly match up against Minnesota, Schultz looks to build on his current streak, and is worth a spot in your lineup if you’re in need of a TE.

Other Notable Pickups

  • Kirk Cousins (QB – Min)
  • Rex Burkhead (RB – NE)
  • Larry Fitzgerald (WR – Ari)
  • Keelan Cole (WR – Jax)
  • Jordan Reed (TE – SF)
