  • Darren Collison is CONSIDERING a February return to the NBA.

Waiver Wire Pickups

Let’s get to the players you should consider picking up if they are available in your league: Look, Michael Porter Jr. has a TON of talent and upside. Recently, he’s been taking advantage of the Gary Harris and Paul Millsap injuries, but I don’t see him getting consistent minutes on a DEEP Nuggets team while they are all healthy. Go ahead and add him in 12+ Team Leagues if you’re cutting someone you won’t miss. With Jonathan Isaac set to miss AT LEAST the next 10 weeks of action, I would strongly consider adding Markelle Fultz and D.J. Augustin respectively as they are set to receive more responsibility on offense. Damion Lee is getting all of the clout for the Warriors lately and deservedly so, but Glenn Robinson III has been producing Top-75 numbers over the past week while receiving steady minutes in the mid-to-upper 30s. With all of the injuries in Minnesota, Jarrett Culver and Shabazz Napier have been KILLING it. Culver deserves to be added in ALL leagues due to recent play and upside, while Napier needs to be streamed as long as long as Jeff Teague is OUT. The hype train for Jordan McRae came to an immediate HAULT once Bradley Beal made his return and with the reports of Thomas Bryant and Davis Bertans returning soon, BUT with the news of the Wizards possibly resting Beal on back-to-back games, I would still add McRae in 12+ Team Leagues. The Wizards have been looking for a reliable guard to play behind Beal, and McRae has been delivering. Malcolm Brogdon is a mess right now. Hamstring issues kept him sidelined for 3 games and once he finally returned to action, he left 8 minutes into the game due to back issues. While Brogdon is sidelined, Aaron Holiday will be leaned on to facilitate the offense. While Clint Capela was nursing a heel injury, Isaiah Hartenstein averaged 29 MIN for 14 PTS, 11 REB, 2.5 AST, and 1 BLK in 2 games. Once Clint Capela returned, he still saw 18 MIN for 16 PTS, 12 REB, 1 STL, and 1 BLK. Despite his poor outing on Friday night, I would still consider adding Hartenstein in 14+ Team Leagues. Derrick Jones Jr. is the first Miami Heat off the bench and he continues to play minutes in the upper 20s-low 30s. Jones Jr. is a great source of Steals and a solid source for Points and Rebounds. Khem Birch is another Magic set to take on more responsibility sans Jonathan Isaac. He provides great FG% and Blocks as well as solid points and rebounds, so if you’re in need of a low-end big man, give Birch a look. As long as Kristaps Porzingis is sidelined, look for Dwight Powell and Maxi Kleber to step up and provide Top-100 numbers.

Top 100

If all of the above players are taken in your league, I’d consider adding the following players and riding the wave while they’re producing Top 100 value during Week 11 (all owned in under 50% of Yahoo Leagues)

  1. Ersan Ilyasova
  2. Nerlens Noel
  3. Gorgui Dieng
  4. Maxi Kleber
  5. Seth Curry
  6. Dwight Powell
  7. De’Anthony Melton
  8. Patrick McCaw
  9. Ivica Zubac
  10. Aron Baynes
