Welcome to the 2021-2022 Fantasy Basketball Draft Points Rankings article!
With the start of the NBA season right around the corner, it’s time to get you prepped for your upcoming Fantasy Basketball drafts! The regular season kicks off with a doubleheader Tuesday, October 19th: Brooklyn Nets vs. Milwaukee Bucks, followed by the Golden State Warriors vs. Los Angeles Lakers.
You can’t win your league at the draft, but you can certainly lose it. While value should dictate each draft pick, it’s imperative to build a foundation of elite rebounding and shot-blocking big men followed by players projected to receive heavy minutes. The more minutes a player gets, the more likely they’ll score fantasy points for your squad.
I based the following rankings on Yahoo’s default points scoring settings:
Points Scored = 1
Rebounds = 1.2
Assists = 1.5
Blocked Shots = 3
Steals = 3
Turnovers = -1
